The highway is our workplace
Team Captain Albert Adams has been traveling the nation delivering safety Roadway shipping freight professional driver and America’s Road messages.
As part of America’s Road Team, Albert hopes to impress upon drivers of all ages the differences between driving a car and a tractor-trailer. He states, “A little common sense goes a long way. The larger the vehicle, the larger the blind spot.” It is important to allow for a cushion between the two vehicles.
“The highway is our workplace. Just like everybody’s workplace, [we] want to make it as safe as possible.”

Albert is one of five Roadway professional truck drivers selected to become Road Team Captains in the 2007-2008 America’s Road Team. Sponsored by Volvo Trucks North America, the America’s Road Team is the trucking industry’s premier ambassador group traveling across the U.S. speaking to the motor public, news media, civic groups and legislators, acting as role models for more than 3.2 million professional drivers, and representing the U.S. trucking industry.
